3M 8663 Tape Constructed with a long-aging, solvent-resistant, pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive that is protected with an easy-release plastic liner. It can be painted or applied over painted surfaces.

Resists Wearing, Abrasion and Tearing
3M™ Polyurethane Protective Tape 8663HS is a matte transparent or matte transparent thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer tape designed to provide premium leading edge erosion protection. With scratch, tear, erosion and puncture resistance that comes from the polyurethane backing, this tape also includes a high shear strength acrylic adhesive. It can withstand a wide variety of difficult conditions, including rain and sand erosion. The tape can be applied efficiently in aircraft and rotorcraft production and maintenance.

This tape is available in two liner configurations: single poly liner on the adhesive side; or single skip slit poly liner on the adhesive side. The skip slit liner is cut into narrow pieces to enable easy installation of tape.
